Hello and welcome to my corner of the internet.
My name is Lexi. Until about three years ago, I never thought I would be a writer. Many people had told me that I should be one, that I have a talent for it. It took a while, but I have finally realized that writing is my little niche in this world. I’m not going to lie - I still have a long way to go before I’m satisfied with my work. I may get A’s on all my English essays (nerd alert), yet there’s a difference between analyzing the significance of Jane Eyre’s role in society versus the type of writing I actually specialize in (no shade no tea just facts).
Behind the Blog
Established summer of 2017, I created this blog mainly for me. Don’t get me wrong, this blog is meant to be read by more than just my mom and brother. I love them, but this site is for a wider demographic. I have realized that I can’t just write something in a college ruled notebook and be satisfied. I have a feeling that whatever words spill out of my mind are meant to be shared. Maybe I’m crazy, but no one’s telling me this is a horrible idea.
If you’re into reading pieces written by some random teenage girl, this website is totally for you. And this site isn’t totally just my emo poetry that I wrote, saying that we as people are so insignificant in this huge world. I'm out of that Edgar Allan Poe phase. There’s a combination of traditional blogging, stuff about places I’ve traveled to, photography, and even some travel videos that will probably be roughly edited in iMovie. All in all, I hope for this place to be the perfect home for my mix of interests, and for others to enjoy.
If you have made it far, thanks. If my life somewhat interests you, make sure to subscribe so you can be the first to know the breaking news of my life. Who knows, Ellen Degeneres could want me on her show, and you wouldn’t even know unless you subscribe and you could see my blog post freaking out about it (no spamming though, I promise). So, in closing, thanks again for reading. If I have impacted you in any way, let me know because I think it’s pretty cool how people change people. I find the creative abyss pretty cozy. If you do also, feel free to stay here as long as you want. Let’s go.
